Sept 11 & Sept 18
Class Fee: $45 (includes both sessions)

Instructor: Prof. Dr. Uta M Walter

Join the fun of learning how to improvise. Good improv relies on being in the moment, saying "yes," and supporting each other. "Being funny" is not a requirement, but being a good listener is. This class focuses on characters, status relationships, scenes and basic story telling. Side effects may include insights for life.
No prior experience required. All proceeds will go to support Theatre Lawrence.

About UTA:
Uta M. Walter hails from Berlin, Germany, where she performs regularly with improv theatre groups, and teaches improv skills for theatre and other professional contexts. A KU alumn with degrees in social work, she lived in Lawrence for 11 years and participated in various TL productions including "Nuncrackers", "Sound of Music", "Kiss me Kate", "George M." and "Red Herring". As in previous years, she happily returns to Lawrence for a summer visit to share the fun.
