Jamie started as Theatre Lawrence’s second ever Executive Director in March 2023. Prior to that he was the Managing Artistic Director for over 25 years at Community Players in Beatrice, NE. Throughout his career he has directed over 130 productions including “Les Miserables,” “Noises Off,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Proof,” and “Silent Sky.” He has been an adjunct instructor for Doane University and Southeast Community College. Currently he is the Region V Representative on the American Association of Community Theatre board of directors. He has also previously served on the board for Nebraskans for the Arts, the Beatrice Chamber of Commerce among other organizations. A native of Sutton, NE, where he grew up on a farm, he is a strong believer in the power of arts to transform individuals and communities.
